Jazz Festival Updates

Dear Band Families,

Our jazz festival has been rescheduled to Friday, May 6th.  We’ll begin forwarding information to you as soon as it becomes available.  In the meantime…


The postponement of the festival presents a great opportunity for us to continue to sell ads.  All ad sales/purchases will be due by Friday, April 1st That gives everyone almost three weeks to sell/purchase more ads!  We’ve attached an updated copy of the ad form as well as a list of businesses – please refer to this list to see which businesses have already been solicited.  


The jazz festival is one of our three biggest fundraisers, along with the Marching Band Home Show and the Beef and Beer.  Without a successful festival, we cannot continue to sufficiently support the Instrumental Music Program.  


Our goal is to sell $3000 worth of ads in order to make the jazz festival a success.  We’re asking that every band family sell or purchase as many ads as possible.  We’ve sold/purchased $1290 worth of ads to date.  That’s a good start, but the problem is, these ads were sold/purchased by only five people TOTAL with 85% sold by one person!


Jazz Band Families – If you can’t sell ads to businesses, please purchase an ad for your jazz band member.  If you need help laying it out, our program mom, Teri Reed, is available to assist. Her email address is allthereeds@verizon.net

Marching Band Families – Proceeds from the jazz festival support our marching band too!

Concert Band Families – Proceeds from last year’s jazz festival went toward paying for the Scott Lang Leadership Seminar held this past February.

Middle School Families – The future of your children’s music program depends on the strong and continued support of the Pitman Panther Band Association.  It’s never too early to start!
